ObjectNow collects and processes only the personal data necessary to generate, submit, and record your objection letter. This includes your name, address, postcode, email address, and any personal comments you choose to provide. All personal details are stored in encrypted form in our secure database, meaning ObjectNow cannot view or access your personal information directly. Your data is used solely for the purposes of processing and recording your objection and for issuing you with a supporter code to make future submissions easier.

ObjectNow does not sell, share, or disclose your personal data to any third party. Your objection letter, containing the details you provide, will only be forwarded to the relevant planning authority. Once your objection has been submitted, your personal details are retained only in encrypted form for record-keeping and supporter code functionality. Your objection letter itself is not kept beyond the processing stage and is deleted from our systems immediately after submission.

Under 16s: Individuals under the age of 16 must obtain parental or guardian consent before submitting an objection. If ObjectNow is notified that an objection has been submitted by someone under 16 without consent, the record will be deleted immediately upon notification.

Important Note: Your objection will be forwarded to the relevant planning authority. Planning authorities may upload your objection to their public planning portal, where your name and address may be publicly viewable. To protect your privacy, ObjectNow includes a formal request in the footer of every objection letter asking that your personal details be redacted from public display. However, the final decision rests with the authority. If your details are published and you wish them to be removed, you will need to contact the relevant authority directly.

All data handling by ObjectNow is carried out in full compliance with UK data protection law, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
